Poblano was founded by Chef Frediani and his family with a deep passion for food, hospitality, and bringing people together. More than just a restaurant, it is a family-led space shaped by warmth, generosity, and genuine connection.
The front of house is carefully overseen to ensure every guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and truly at home. Day-to-day operations are managed with a strong focus on maintaining the vision of creating a vibrant and memorable dining experience. More recently, the next generation of the family has joined the team, bringing fresh energy and a modern touch while continuing the spirit that Poblano was built on.
Together, they have created a place that reflects their love of Latin flavours and their belief that dining should feel personal, lively, and heartfelt. At Poblano, when we say you’re being welcomed in, we truly mean it.

A House with History
Poblano is located within the historic Old Malaya building, a beautifully restored heritage site dating back to 1919 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Once home to colonial-era residences, the building has been carefully preserved, allowing its rich history and architectural charm to live on while welcoming a new generation of restaurants and gathering spaces.
Guests can also enjoy a wonderful view of KL Tower rising above the city skyline — a striking backdrop that adds to the atmosphere of warm evenings, vibrant flavours, and shared moments. Being part of such a historic setting makes the Poblano experience feel even more special.

Poblano takes its name from the iconic poblano pepper, known for its rich depth, gentle heat, and unmistakable character. Just like the pepper, our food is bold, flavourful, and full of personality without ever losing its warmth.
Our menu celebrates Latin-inspired cooking through

● smoky grilled specialities and hearty favourites
